Discovering Mark Pirro Part 2:
Chance Sighting in Fangoria. Details as 11.
College! What a world it was! The girls. The classes. The girls. The freedom. The girls. (As you can see, I wasn't really in it for the education.) With a new life around me, my love for movies remained unchanged. I took with me to the dorm as many videos as I could, including my prized Polish Vampire bootleg. I showed it to a few friends who agreed that it was one of the funniest movies ever. Other than this, I really didn't spend much time thinking about Mark Pirro. After all, I had classes to go to, girls to meet, and a virginity to lose. However, it seemed that coincidence had planned for me to find out more about Pirro.
A few months into college, I picked up a copy of Fangoria. I was scanning the "Video Chopping List" when my eyes viewed the title Nudist Colony of the Dead. "Oh my God!" I thought. I read the synopsis, but stopped after the first four words. "Camp master Mark Pirro . . ." It took a few seconds for the name to click in my head. When it did, however, I got a little excited in a very non-sexual sort of way. Another movie made by this guy. With a weirder name than the last one. I had to find this video.
After scouring the local video stores of Martin, TN (all three of them) the elusive film was nowhere to be found. What was a poor boy to do? The answer was a mere click away on that wonderful invention of Al Gore's known as . . . the INTERNET.
To be continued in Part 3: Caught in the World Wide Web.
